We joined our common expertises with the collective ipé on social design to implement a participatory process for the development of a soft and lively axis in the Chaussée de Merchtem and rue des quatre vents within the neighbourhood contract 'Etangs Noirs' in Molenbeek. To do so we organized five meetings with local actors and five urban actions that lead to a report of transformations to be realized by an architectural office in collaboration with a local NGO to improve the quality of life for the inhabitants and the users of the axis.

The report is divided into hard and soft landscape. As such, there will be a physical transformation (e.g. 5 spaces of intervention, priority will be given to bicycles...) and a socio-spatial transformation (e.g. plantings, artistic intervention...) realized along the axis. The soft landscape will allow the inhabitants to contribute and as such appropriate the public space.
