Public Space 4Her
The “Public Space 4 Her” project aims to actively involve young women aged 12 to 17 in the co-design and co-construction of a social, aesthetic and environmentally friendly project.
The goal is to allow the young women to use comfortably and as such appropriate public space. To do so we organized 5 participatory workshops where we focussed specifically on the unique needs of the girls. As such we recognized their rights to use space in a safe, accessible and comfortable manner. The young women were also actively involved in the co-design as well as in the co-construction during a participatory construction site that took place in February / March 2024.
While Alive is responsible to co-produce an urban installation in 2024, the project will continue in the Creative Europe partner cities Nicosia and Ljubljana.
